Official opening of blue sky designed Chadderton Wellbeing Centre

Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, designed by blue sky architects, officially opens to the public on Monday 30th November. The centre has a range of modern community facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool, library, gym and aerobics studio, cafe and community meeting rooms, all brought together in a unique, state-of-the-art new building.

The building incorporates a range of innovative sustainable features including rain water harvesting, salt purification of the swimming pool, and a combined power and heat (CPH) generating system powered by a 100% sustainable bio-fuel manufactured from waste used cooking oil.

This new centre benefited from the integrated design approach of blue sky, who provided architectural design, engineering and environmental consultancy services for the project.
